She continued with Dyson as head of the global solid state battery team, where she focused on technology advancement and strategy, organizational growth and partnerships. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Dr. Sastry was a professor of engineering at the University of Michigan, obtaining some of the highest honors in her scientific field throughout her 17-year scientific career. She holds Ph.D. and MS degrees from Cornell University and a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Delaware.
