Phase one is projected to employ 200 to 250 permanent workers, with as many as 2,000 to 2,500 construction jobs during development, as Frontieras advances an estimated $850 million investment with plans for immediate expansion into a second phase.

Government leaders reinforced the project’s broader significance during the ceremony, with remarks from Governor Patrick Morrisey, Senator Shelley Moore Capito and Secretary of State Kris Warner underscoring the initiative’s role in driving economic growth, strengthening domestic energy innovation and positioning West Virginia at the forefront of advanced coal technologies.
