Nanox’s Integrated Imaging Ecosystem: Expanding Access to 3D Imaging and Diagnostics

  • Roughly two-thirds of the world’s population lacks access to basic imaging technology, and the radiologist workforce gap is just as stark.
  • Nanox brings together Nanox.ARC, Nanox.AI, Nanox.CLOUD, Nanox.MARKETPLACE, USARAD Holdings and Nanox Health IT as part of its broader imaging ecosystem.
  • Commercial activity is beginning to build, with second-quarter revenue of $4.2 million.
  • Advanced medical imaging has transformed diagnosis, yet access to it remains remarkably uneven.
  • Roughly two-thirds of the world’s population lacks access to basic imaging technology, a figure widely attributed to the World Health Organization, and the workforce gap is just as stark: an estimated 1.9 radiologists per million people in low-income countries against 97.9 per million in high-income countries.
  • Access challenges persist in developed markets as well, where geography, cost and infrastructure determine where advanced imaging can economically operate.

Nano-X Imaging Ltd. (NASDAQ: NNOX) is approaching that problem from a different direction. Rather than building another high-end system for major hospitals, Nanox is assembling an integrated platform intended to extend medical imaging into outpatient facilities, clinics and other settings where conventional advanced imaging infrastructure is difficult to justify.

Nanox.ARC: Expanding Access to 3D Imaging

At the center of the platform is Nanox.ARC, an FDA-cleared multi-source digital tomosynthesis system built around the company’s proprietary digital X-ray source technology. The system is designed to produce 3D tomosynthesis images and support advanced imaging in a range of clinical environments, while Nanox continues to emphasize lower barriers to adoption through its technology and operating model.

That matters because imaging access is not simply a technology problem. It is also an economics problem, shaped by equipment cost, facility requirements and the staffing needed to operate and read the studies.

Nanox positions the ARC as part of its broader effort to make advanced imaging more accessible across additional care settings. In the United States, the system is currently cleared for adjunctive use with conventional radiography on adult patients for specified indications. In Europe, the Nanox.ARC, including Nanox.CLOUD, has received CE Mark certification which enables commercialization under applicable European requirements.

Nanox has also continued to advance its product portfolio and regulatory strategy, including work intended to support future imaging capabilities and workflow enhancements, subject to applicable regulatory requirements and clearances.

An Integrated Imaging Ecosystem

Nanox’s proposition extends well beyond hardware.

Nanox.AI, the company’s deep-learning medical imaging analytics subsidiary, applies FDA-cleared software solutions to routine CT scans to help identify findings associated with chronic cardiac, liver and bone conditions. Nanox.CLOUD supports imaging data management and connectivity, while Nanox.MARKETPLACE and USARAD Holdings connect providers with remote radiology expertise. Nanox Health IT adds RIS, PACS, dictation and secure infrastructure to support healthcare imaging workflows.

That combination addresses a broader access challenge. Expanding imaging capacity requires not only imaging systems, but also workflow, connectivity, clinical expertise and analytical tools that can support providers as they manage imaging demand.

Commercialization Begins to Take Shape

Nanox remains early in proving that its technology can translate into commercial scale, but signs of adoption are emerging.

Second-quarter 2026 revenue increased to $4.2 million from $3.0 million in second-quarter 2025. The company reported increased utilization of deployed Nanox.ARC systems, and a system installed at RadNet, the largest outpatient imaging center operator in the United States, has been in commercial use and integrated into routine clinical workflow for several months.

Those dependencies are material. Nanox withdrew its 2026 revenue target after deployment, activation and revenue-recognition timelines proved longer than anticipated, and it no longer intends to issue annual guidance, arguing that deployments, activations and utilization growth better reflect progress at this stage. The company closed an $8 million registered direct offering in August and continues to pursue additional financing.

Nanox.AI: Unlocking More Value from Routine CT Scans

Nanox.AI is focused on helping healthcare providers extract more clinical value from routine CT scans that have already been performed. Its FDA-cleared solutions analyze medical CT scans, performed for any clinical indication, to help identify findings associated with chronic cardiac, bone and liver conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed.

This approach is often described as opportunistic screening: using existing imaging data to support additional clinical insight without requiring a separate scan, additional radiation exposure or another patient visit. Nanox.AI’s cardiac solution, HealthCCSng, supports coronary artery calcium assessment; its bone solution, HealthOST, supports analysis of vertebral height loss and bone mineral density; and its liver solution, HealthFLD, supports liver attenuation analysis.

For providers, the value is not only in detecting findings, but in helping move those findings into the clinical workflow. By integrating AI-generated insights into existing imaging and reporting pathways, Nanox.AI supports radiologists and clinicians in identifying patients who may benefit from further assessment or preventive care management, where appropriate.

The opportunity Nanox is pursuing is broader than selling another imaging device. The company is working to connect 3D imaging, AI analysis, cloud infrastructure, remote interpretation and healthcare IT into an integrated imaging ecosystem designed to support greater clinical and operational value across care settings.

Commercialization remains the key measure of progress, and execution will be critical as Nanox continues to advance deployments, utilization and adoption. With imaging access still constrained by cost, infrastructure and workforce limitations, Nanox is addressing a meaningful challenge in healthcare delivery.
